Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as automotive body repairers. The course content includes the following: basic trade skills; refinishing skills; sheetmetal repair skills; frame and unibody squaring and aligning; use of fillers; paint systems and undercoats; related welding skills; related mechanical skills; trim-hardware maintenance; glass servicing; and other miscellaneous repairs.
This program utilizes a planned sequence of instruction consisting of five occupational completion points. When the recommended sequence is followed, the structure will allow students to complete specified portions of the program for employment or to remain for advanced training. A student who completes the applicable competencies at any occupational completion point may either continue with the training or become an occupational completer.
The Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing Program prepares students for employment in the collision repair industry. Available occupations include
